Green Baby Shoes

Taking baby steps.

There are times in life where a slow and steady approach is what's best - taking baby steps.  Rushing can create or exacerbate the problems at hand.  And who wants to create or worsen their problems?

Today was a baby step kind of day for me.  I am slowly starting to add foods back into my diet.  Granted, they are not amazing yummy and delicious foods - but it is better than an all liquid diet.  Last night it was some noodles.  Tonight it was half of an egg salad sandwich.  Now egg salad is not something that I can eat a lot of - the texture eventually gets to me.  But tonight as I opened the fridge and saw over 40 eggs staring back at me - I figured I would make my family some egg salad.  And to be sure I wasn't poisoning them, I tried some myself.  I think they will be happy.

Baby steps.

I didn't go into the office today - but instead worked from home.  But I worked the entire day - something I hadn't been able to do yet this week.  Baby steps - but I accomplished a lot.  I will go into the office tomorrow, which is a half work day - and will ease myself back into being at the office and I should be good to go come Monday.

Baby steps.

This afternoon I received a call from my doctor's office.  I wasn't expecting the call.  I had actually called them this morning to schedule my follow up appointment for October.  After I made my appointment, I asked to be transferred to the assistant who is responsible for the biopsy results.  The woman I was speaking to said that the biopsy results take 14 days.  So my phone rang this afternoon.  It was the girl with my results.  She said everything came back ok.  Which means nothing new has emerged.

Baby steps.

  1. baby steps are cool especially when you rock them in a pair Rocket Dogs or Naughty Monkeys. Glad to hear the biopsy was okay.
