Banana Peel Shoes
Very slippery evening.
Ventured over to our now customary Wednesday spot. No sooner do we get on the road to head back home and the weather nonsense decides to pick up.
Me being the cautious driver that I am - I see hail and ice that means slow down. Well, apparantly for the individuals in the neighboring state where I was driving - they do not understand that concept. I am driving and notice that the guy next to me is suddenly going behind me. It took me a second to realize what was going on - he was hydroplaning. He literally had just missed taking out the back end of my car. I would have never seen it coming and I don't want to think of what could have happened. The other guy wasn't as lucky - all though it definitely could have been worse. He slammed into the divider - as the cars behind him swirved and tried to get out of his way - but it didn't really slow them down. Apparantly hitting the divider didn't slow the other guy down either, because he was back to driving on his way.
Th first half of my drive home was definitely a slick one and it took a lot longer to get home than what I would have hoped for. But I am home - and we are in one piece.
People should really learn to slow down and understand that there destination is not going anywhere - unless they decide to screw it up by not being safe.
