From cleaning up crud...to feeling like crud...

Cruddy Shoes

Today was supposed to be a day to sleep in - however my body insisted on listening to my internal clock and I woke up at all of my favorite times this morning.  By 7:30, I was up and cleaning around the house.

Started with the hallway bathroom - the one which is used by the kids and anyone who is over visiting.  Cleaning up black greasy handprints from my boys and the dirt colored tub - led me into "I'm tearin this bathroom up" mode.

Cleaned out and organized the kids drawers under the sink.  The linen closet took quite a bit of time.  Now when I say linen closet you would think that it would mean that it was full of towels and linens - you would be partially right.  It also has all of the medicines and bandages - cleaning supplies - beauty supplies - sunblocks - extra bottles of shampoo and conditioner - rolls of toilet paper - and the list could go on and on.  So I made sure that expired medications and things that weren't going to be used were thrown out - and that everything had it's place and was organized.

Scrubbed the tub and toilet.  Cleaned the mirror and sick.  Got down on my hands and knees and scrubbed the floor.  Just need to get a new shower curtain and I will be a happy with the bathroom.

Moved onto the kitchen.  Emptied the dishwasher and reloaded it.  Swept the floor and cleaned the stove top.  Cleaned out and organized the refrigerator.  And then my body crashed.

At first I thought I was crashing because I was just tired - but not so.  It was time for my blanket and pillow and the couch, where I have been ever since.

Our house guest has returned to her parents house - they met up and talked this afternoon and came to some agreements.  I am happy for her - being on bad terms with people you care about is not fun.  But she also knows that our door is always open to her.

Tonight I will be going to bed early - time to take care of me a little.  Maybe try to find something to eat that agrees with my stomach.
