It's the little things, that add up to the big things

Goals.

Everybody has them - or at least I hope everybody does.

Some goals in life may be small and easily attainable.  While others are a little more challenging and require more dedication and focus.  And there are those that require these things but take much longer to achieve.

Today's goals were simple.  Or are they?

1) Drink more water.  Accomplished this goal.  I had my morning coffee however my remaining beverages of the day were water only.  This was a drastic improvement over last week where I only drank coffee or soda.

2) Eat healthier and more frequent.  Accomplished this goal.  My first two meals of the day consisted of egg whites in a wheat wrap.  The chef at work always makes the breakfast wraps big, so I eat only a half at a time.  Lunch was turkey in a wheat wrap.  Afternoon snack was a yogurt with some cinnamon, apples and craisins.  Dinner was a turkey sandwich and finally a banana as an evening snack before training.

3) Train.  Accomplished this goal.  Took class tonight.  Was not partnered with the proper person - however considering how much training I have missed over the past few weeks it worked out so that I did not kill myself.  Felt really good to train tonight.  I miss the cardio, punching and kicking, strength training and stretching.  I could definitely feel how tight my muscles were when I was stretching - something which I need to continue to work on.  Looking forward to kickboxing with Joshu on Wednesday.

4) Sleep.  Well, obviously I cannot predict how tonight's sleeping will transpire - but I am planning on getting off of the computer by 10pm (I have 15 more minutes).  Tomorrow is going to be quite busy in the morning since my husband has his doctors appointments.  I will get a good night's rest tonight, take a nap tomorrow if needed and make sure I get to sleep early tomorrow night as well.

5) Next career opportunity brainstorming.  Semi-accomplished.  I definitely thought about it today.  Thought about how much I would love to quit my job, lol.  Didn't really have the opportunity to look or come up with any new ideas.  But what I did think about today was how much money do I actually need to receive each month in order for us to live comfortably.  That's a tough question.  I will keep working on this goal and in the meantime I will continue to work at my crappy job and collect my nice paychecks.

I feel good going to sleep tonight.  I stuck with the plan that I had set out for myself today.  A lot of little small things.  Small things which involved me taking better care of me.  I need to be a healthy-as-possible me in order for me to help take care of those around me that I love so much.

Tomorrow's goals.

- Drink more water
- Eat healthy and often
- Strength training & stretching for 15 minutes
- Brainstorming on new career
